Easy Slow Cooker bra-Talian Beef Stew

A simple filling comforting one dish beef and pasta stew with a tomato based sauce. Invented it this evening with contents of freezer and pantry. Using some of my favorite ingredients from Brasilian and Italian cuisine.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
4 beef eye round
3 large minced garlic cloves
1 large onion, peeled and sectioned
1 (14 ounce) bag frozen stew vegetables (broccoli,carrot, zucchini for example)
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 (16 ounce) jar tomato basil pasta sauce
1 lb penne pasta
24 ounces water
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons palm oil (dende oil, or to taste)
Directions:
1. Turn on slow cooker setting it to 5 hours on low. Add olive oil to bottom of slow cooker and place 4 steaks in as well.
2. proceed to place the ingredients into the cooker in order.
3. Add small amounts of water until the Penne is nearly covered.
