This is an 30 minute easy marinara recipe. It is a combination of a few different recipes I had.
Ingredients:
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
1/3 cup olive oil
3/4 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 large onion (finely chopped)
1 1/2 tablespoons instant minced garlic
Directions:
1. In a large sauce pan saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft. Stir frequently.
2. Add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
3. Add tomatoes and sugar.
4. slowly bring to a boil then simmer covered over low heat for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
