Easy Manhattan Clam Chowder

I had this at a friends... was shocked when she gave me the recipe... Just toooo easy!
Ingredients:
2 pieces lean bacon diced
1 large red bell pepper diced
1 large green pepper diced
1 celery stalk chopped
1 carrot peeled and chopped
1 small onion chopped
2 clove garlic finaly chopped
2 cups bottled clam juice
1 cup clamato tomato jucie cocktail
2 medium potatoes peeled and diced
1 large tomato chopped
1 teaspoon oregano rub in palm
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups fresh or canned clams chopped... abvout 24 shucked
Directions:
1. In a heavy med pot
2. Saute bacon, peppers, celery, carrot, onion and garlic over med heat until tender about 10 min. Do not brown bacon
3. Add clam juice, Clamato, potatoes, tomato oregano and pepper.
4. Simmer 35 minutes or until potatos aree tender...
5. Add Clams and cook for 5 min more...
6. Dish up and serve with lots of fresh crusty bread and butter or olive oil dipper...
7. Sooooo good!
