Easy Fruit Cobbler

You can use any fresh fruit, but I think blackberries are the best. I've tried frozen fruit and it turns out a bit soggy.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 pint fresh fruit
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 325.
2. Melt the butter in the bottom of an 8x8 glass pan.
3. In a large bowl combine the rest of the ingredients EXCEPT fruit.
4. Pour batter into pan.
5. Place fruit on top.
6. Bake for 1 hour.
