Paula's Easy Crock Pot Chili
Ingredients:
1 onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 lb 93% lean ground beef
15 ounces canned red kidney beans (new orleans style red kidney beans preferred, drained of liquid)
16 ounces diced tomatoes (1 can)
8 ounces tomato sauce (1 small can)
1 teaspoon kitchen bouquet
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more per taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper (mccormick hot shot!)
1 pinch creole seasoning (tony chachere's original creole seasoning)
1 bay leaf
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
2. Drain meat if necessary.
3. Combine meat/onion/garlic mixture with the remainder of the ingredients and put in slow cooker.
4. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
5. Remove bay leaf prior to serving.
6. Add more of the cayenne pepper and Hot Shot if more heat is desired.
