Easy Cherry Cake With Pudding Frosting

Simple, homemade and everyone just loves it!
Ingredients:

1 can cherry pie filling -- (20 ounce)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs
2/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup chopped nuts
combine all ingredients in a large bowl; mix together well with a
spoon. pour into a greased 9x13-inch cake pan. bake at 350 f. for 40- 50 minutes. cool, and frost with vanilla pudding frosting (see recipe below).
vanilla pudding frosting
combine 1 4-oz. package instant vanilla pudding mix with 1-1/2 cups
cold milk and 1 envelope dream whip topping mix. beat together in
deep bowl at high speed until fluffy and smooth.
