Easy Cheesy Red Enchilada Sauce

Here's an incredibly easy and really good homemade sauce. The recipe, found several years ago on a package of locally-made tortillas, makes enough to replace one 15-ounce can of mild red enchilada sauce.
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 tablespoon onion flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Whisk together all ingredients except parmesan cheese in a saucepan; bring to boil, reduce heat and gently simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Remove from heat and whisk in parmesan cheese.
