These make a fabulous chewy cookie and the chocolate drizzle just makes them even better. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
cookie
1/4 cup water
2 1/2 cups uncooked quick cooking oats or old fashioned rolled oats
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
drizzle
1 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp butter, softened
2-3 tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine brown sugar and 1 cup butter in a large mixer bowl.
3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
4. Add water; continue beating until well mixed.
5. Reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients.
6. Beat until well mixed.
7. Shape dough into 1 1/2-in. balls (dough will be sticky).
8. Place 2-in. apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
9. Flatten to 2-in. diameter with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
10. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
11. Let stand 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
12. Cool complrtely.
13. Combine all drizzle ingredients EXCEPT milk in small mixing bowl.
14. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often and gradually adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency.
15. Drizzle cooled cookies.
