Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of butter, soft
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs for 2 minutes or until light and fluffy.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture. (Batter will be fairly stiff.)
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto *ungreased *baking sheets.
  8. Bake 10-12 minutes or until cookies are puffed but not overcooked.
  9. Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to cooling racks. Makes about 4 dozen.
