Based on a recipe from the McCormick spice company. I haven’t tried this yet.
Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
8 -10 drops red food coloring or 8 -10 drops green food coloring
1/2 cup peppermint candies or 1/2 cup candy cane, crushed
Directions:
1. Place chips in large microwavable bowl and microwave on HIGH setting 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until almost melted.
2. Add peppermint extract and stir until mixture is smooth.
3. Line a large baking sheet with foil. Spread mixture on prepared baking sheet to 1/4-inch thickness.
4. Add food color, drop by drop, over mixture. Using a wooden skewer, swirl color through bark.
5. Sprinkle with crushed candies, pressing lightly into bark using spatula.
6. Place in refrigerator and chill 10 minutes or until set.
7. To serve, break into individual irregular pieces.
8. Store in covered container at cool room temperature.
