Double - Chocolate and Cherry Cookies

A great recipe from Better Homes and Gardens, you can't lose with this recipe. It combines luscoius white and semi - sweet chocolates with dried cherries and walnuts. Yum! I love cherries especially tart cherries made any kind of way these cookies are so yummy!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter (softened)
1 1/3 cups sugar (granulated)
2/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour (all, purpose)
2 cups cherries (dried tart)
1 1/2 cups walnuts (chopped)
1 1/2 cups chocolate (semi, sweet pieces)
1 cup white chocolate (pieces)
Directions:
1. Pre - heat oven to 325°F.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 secounds.
3. Add sugars, baking soda, and salt: beat until combined.
4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
5. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with mixer.
6. Stir in any remaining flour.
7. Stir in dried cherries, walnuts, semi - sweet chocolate pies, and white baking peices {dough will be stiff}.
8. Drop dough by rounded talbespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until golden.
9. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
10. Transfer to wire rack: to cool.
