This recipe was prepared for a ladies night out at my house by a friend. Everyone loved it and we have it for dinner a couple of times a month. Very quick and easy to make. I make mine low fat because we are on a health kick, but you can use the regular versions of all of the ingredients listed if you like.
Ingredients:
2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 small onion
1 ounce taco seasoning
1 cup reduced-fat thousand island dressing
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup low-fat mayonnaise
2 cups low-fat cheese, shredded
1 large head of lettuce
1 (14 1/2 ounce) bag doritos
Directions:
1. Ground beef and onion until done. Drain and mix in 1/2 of the pkg of taco seasoning. Stir and set aside. In a medim size bowl mix other half of taco seasoning, ketchup, mayo and Thousand Island dressing. Set aside. Chop lettuce and put in a very large bowl. Add meat mixture, dressing mixture and cheese and stir. Crush Doritos on top and serve immediately.
