Diva Diabetic's Spicy Tomato Dip With Peppers

This is one of my 'Trick Me' snack recipes...reminds me of peppers and onions!
Ingredients:
1 green pepper, large
1 red pepper, large
1 lb crushed tomatoes, canned
1 teaspoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons basil, freshly chopped
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise, remove the seeds, and slice into thick lengthwise pieces. In a blender or food processor, combine the tomatoes, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, salt and pepper and pulse until well mixed, but still a bit chunky. Serve with the peppers. (6-8 servings).
