Dirty Mashed Potatoes

One of my faovrite side dishes! Have been making mashed potatoes this way for years, and finally decided to share. Redskinned potatoes, lots of butter, sourcream, garlic, cheese, chives, bacon...loaded baked potato goodness in mashed potatoes! Read more !
Ingredients:
3 lb bag small red skinned potatoes
1 stick butter or margarine
2 heaping t sour cream
1/4 c grated parmesan
1/2 c your fave shredded cheese, i used colby jack this time
5 or 6 pieces bacon, fried crisp and crumbled (or bacon bits)
1 t chopped garlic
chives
seasoned salt
fresh ground black pepper
*small amount of cream, milk, evap milk, etc if desired
Directions:
1. scrub potatoes and cut into quarters leaving skins on (half lenghtwise, then half crosswise)
2. place in large pot and bring to boil
3. cook until fork tender
4. Drain potatoes and pour into large bowl
5. cut butter into pieces and add to potatoes
6. add remaining ingrdients
7. Using hand mixer on med/low speed, cream potatoes to desired consistency (*note...you can use the hand masher thingy, I just don't have one that isn't metal that I can use in my good pans. Keep meaning to buy one...lol)
8. If you like them a little thinner, stream in a little milk (cream, etc) to desired consistency
