This salsa can be used as a Dip with tortilla chips or may be added to foods. Been told i should patent it.
Ingredients:
6 medium sized jalapeño peppers (cut in half)
1 150z. can of whole tomatoes or) 5 medium fresh tomatoes(cut in half)
1 small garlic clove (raw)
salt & peper to taste
Directions:
1. Microwave the jalapeño pepers & tomatoes cut in 1/2 (if using fresh tomatoes) for 9 minutes on HIGH Remove tomato skin and discard, when cooled.
2. (if using can tomatoes) cut the peppers in half and microwave them for 4 minutes with a bit of water in a microwaveable bowl for 5 minutes......let cool.
3. in blender add the tomato juice from the canned tomatoes OR the water used to microwave the jalapeños, garlic (crushed) and ONE cooked jalapeno, and blend at high speed till there are no traces of the garlic....about 5 or 6 minutes
4. add the jalapeños into the mixture and blend for a few seconds (DO NOT OVER BLEND) then add the tomatoes and salt and peper and blend just enough so the salsa can come out chunky, a few seconds.
