Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 large egg (beaten )
  • 3 -4 cups flour

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan heat the milk, Crisco, sugar and salt until melted.
  2. Let cool to room temperature.
  3. Combine the yeast and water. Let stand until foamy.
  4. Add milk mix.
  5. Add egg and flour until a firm dough forms.
  6. Knead until smooth.
  7. Place in a bowl sprayed with Pam. Cover with a damp towel. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  8. Punch down. Shape into 16 rolls.
  9. Place on a sprayed baking sheet. Cover with same towel. Let rise 45 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 20 minutes or until golden.
