Delicious Sweet Chilli Rice Patties |

A Great recipe to use up that extra cooked rice we serve these with sausages, or steak Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
3 -4 cups cooked white rice |
1/4-1/2 cup sweet chili sauce |
salt or pepper |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
1 egg, beaten |
1 capsicum, chopped finely |
1 red onion, chopped finely |
breadcrumbs, to bind |
ham (optional) or bacon, chopped (optional) |
1 teaspoon crushed garlic |
Directions:
1. put all ingredients together in a large bowl except breadcrumbs. 2. mix until all ingredients a well combined. 3. add breadcrumbs and mix - until you have a firm pattie mix (like rissoles). 4. roll into balls and squash into patties. 5. heat oil in a frying pan. 6. fry on a medium heat until golden brown on each side 4-5 minutes. 7. serve with chutney and salad or desired sidedishes. |
