Delicious and Semi Simple Chili

This recipe is something I created in my kitchen, I had added and tweaked different things till it came out how I wanted it. All of my recipes have spices according to my liking.. some may want to add more or less according to flavor.
Ingredients:
3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin (more or less according to taste)
1/2 tablespoon chili powder (more less according to taste)
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt
pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
thyme
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
2 slices american cheese (white)
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and diced onions on med/high heat in a large sauce pan (chili pot). Do not drain.
2. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme. Stir and taste, add more chili powder or cumin if necessary.
3. Add parmesean cheese, American cheese, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, mustard, salt and pepper.
4. Drop heat down to low and let simmer for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
5. Add kidney beans and simmer an additional 30 minutes.
