Deep Fried Oysters

We love oysters, and this is the way we love them best. Crispy brown and tender.
Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh oysters
1 cup flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
oil (for frying)
Directions:
1. Rinse oysters, and cut any that are too large in half.
2. Mix well the flour, egg, salt and pepper.
3. Should be like pancake batter.
4. Add more milk if necessary.
5. Heat oil to very hot, (375) in a large skillet.
6. Dip oysters in batter, let drain a few seconds.
7. Carefully drop oysters in hot oil.
8. Fry for about 4 minutes, until golden brown.
