Deep Dish Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel, core & slice apples.
  2. Place sliced apples in a bowl.
  3. Drizzle lemon juice over apples.
  4. Sprinkle in sugar, flour, cinammon,nutmeg and allspice.
  5. Mix together.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon almond extract and 4-5 pats of butter.
  7. Pour mixture into pie shell that has been lined with your favourite pie crust.
  8. Cover mixture with top crust.
  9. Brush cream on top crust, with pastry brush.
  10. Sprinkle with sugar.
  11. Bake at 425 deg. for 20 min., then turn down to 375 deg. for 35-40 minute longer.
  12. Note: for 9 pie shell use 6 apples, 3/4 teaspoons cinnamon.
