These are amazing. Quick and easy yet so delicious. Use as a quick snack, breakfast, brunch, or appetizer.
Ingredients:
1 roll breakfast sausage, mild(such as jimmy dean or bryan)
1 stick butter
1 can black olives, chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
dash of creole or cajun seasoning
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 package brown and serve rolls cut lengthwise or 1 loaf french bread cut in half.(if using both halves, double the filling recipe)
Directions:
1. Brown sausage
2. Add butter, green onions, and black olives and cook one minute longer.
3. Pour mixture into a large bowl.
4. Add cream cheese and seasoning
5. Refrigerate until ready to put together and serve
6. Before serving, Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
7. Place rolls side by side on a baking pan.
8. If using french bread, place on cookie or baking pan.(I have a cooking stone and place it on that to cook)
9. Spread mixture over each roll or on french bread half.
10. Sprinkle with cheese and bake until golden brown(about 10 to 12 minutes)
11. serve warm
