Debbie's Bacon and Cheddar Muffins

My mother-in-law Debbie made these for my husband when he was growing up, and he loved them. She gave me her recipe, and now I make them for him and they are divine! Usually don't last more than 2 days in my house.
Ingredients:
2 cups bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
2. Line 12 medium muffin cups with paper baking cups, and spray with cooking spray.
3. Mix all ingredients except cheese and bacon, just until moistened (batter will be lumpy).
4. Fold in cheese and bacon.
5. Divide batter among muffin cups.
6. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
