Date Nut Bread Pared With Camembert Cheese

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Butter an 8-1/2 x4-1/2 loaf pan.
  3. In bowl,toss the chopped dates with the baking soda.
  4. Add the butter.
  5. Pour the boiling water all over the dates and let stand for 20 minutes.
  6. In bowl,whisk the flour with the sugar and salt.
  7. Add the eggs and the vanilla and stir with a fork to combine.
  8. Stir in the chopped walnuts and the date mixture.
  9. Pour the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 55 minutes,or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the date-nut bread comes out clean.
  10. Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes,then turn it out onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
  11. ~Serve sliced with the cheese in the center of two slices~
