This recipe goes with Brown-and-Wild Rice Pilaf with Date Chutney
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped whole pitted dates (about 16 dates)
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon chopped seeded jalapeƱo pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor; process until thick and smooth.
2. Note: Chutney will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
