There's nothing really new about this snack item. But I just threw it together because I didn't want the added sugar or guessing that came with a store bought chocolate covered almonds. This way, I can control what goes into it. :)
Ingredients:
30 whole almonds, dry roasted
60 g dark chocolate
Directions:
1. Using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate, stirring constantly.
2. When the chocolate is melted and smooth, stir in the almonds. Continue to mix until all the almonds are coated.
3. On a plate (or baking sheet) covered with wax/parchment paper, set 5 almonds (or however many you want) down in a cluster.
4. Repeat the process until there are no more almonds.
5. If there is any chocolate left over, scoop it over the clusters.
6. Cover your almond clusters with a piece of wax paper and let it set in the fridge for 10 to 20 minutes.
7. Store in an air tight container/bag in the fridge (that's what I do, at least.)
