I got this recipe from a friend. It's spicy, and you can add as much or little curry powder to your taste I usually add 1 - 11/2 teaspoons. We love making these and keeping in the refrigerator just to have around and snack on. After they bake, we let them cool and cut them half then chill them. You can also serve them hot. The filling is great as a spread on crackers or homemade bread. I have never used low-fat cream cheese, but I am guessing you can. Depending on how the dough rolls out and how much filling you use per triangle, you may need 2 cans of crescent rolls. If making homemade pastry/dough then usually 10 -15 triangles per batch, depending on how you fill them. It's something to play with and use your imagination. The prep and cook times are a guess.
Ingredients:
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
8 ounces crescent rolls, can
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon onion, diced
1 teaspoon curry powder
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients above, except crescent rolls.
2. Roll out crescent rolls between wax paper, not too thing.
3. Add mixture to center, wrap and seal edges together by pinching, leaving no openings.
4. Use your imagination when making these. They all do not wrap the same!
5. Bake in oven according to temp on package; usually 350 until golden brown.
6. Enjoy!
