Cube Steaks In Gravy

Home style comfort food. Nothing fancy, just good taste. These cube steaks in mushroom gravy are a hearty and satisfying dish.
Ingredients:
4 cube steaks
flour, all purpose
salt and pepper, to taste
additional seasoning of your choice (optional) (don't over-salt)
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 small onion, chopped
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (10-oz. can) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10-oz. can) condensed golden mushroom soup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon kitchen bouquet
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
mashed potatoes (optional)
Directions:
1. Sprinkle cube steaks with a little salt, pepper and additional seasonings, if desired.
2. Place some flour in a paper lunch bag then add a cube steak and shake it up to coat it in flour.
3. Remove steak from bag and repeat with remaining cube steaks, setting them to the side for about 15 minutes to allow the flour to set to the meat.
4. In a large skillet, brown steaks in 1 tablespoon butter until browned on both sides.
5. Transfer them to a covered casserole dish.
6. Sauté the onions and mushrooms in remaining tablespoon butter until softened, about 6 minutes.
7. Place the onion/mushroom mixture over the browned cube steaks in the casserole dish.
8. Mix the soups together until well combined.
9. Add the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Kitchen Bouquet, and stir until well combined.
10. Pour soup mixture over cube steak and mushroom/onion mixture.
11. Place in preheated 350*F. oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
12. Serve with mashed potatoes.
