Now here is an appeslaw, that offers you a few different choices in the making of it - have fun!!
Ingredients:
1 lb apple (braeburn, granny smith, golden delicious, red delicious)
2 green onions, chopped
2 celery ribs, chopped
grated vegetables (a few handfuls of either zucchini, carrots, green cabbage, napa or savoy cabbage, or a combination o)
1 -2 teaspoon italian seasoning or 1 -2 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 -2 teaspoon curry powder or 1 -2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup chopped nuts, walnuts or 1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup almonds or 1/2 cup cashews
1 cup miracle whip
Directions:
1. Slice 1 lb apples into thin sticks. Mix with 2 green chopped green onion and celery stalks, and a few handfuls of the grated vegetables of your choice.
2. Mix together with Miracle whip, 1-2 tsp, spice and chopped toasted nuts, Italian seasoning with walnuts, ground ginger with pecans, curry powder with almonds, and cumin with cashews. Toss with apple mixture.
3. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours to blend flavors.
