CRUMB TOPPED SOUR CREAM CHEESY POTATO BAKE DATED 1969 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the DeYoung Estate in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1982. I have made this but prefer it without the topping.
Ingredients:
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
3 cups seasoned mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon melted butter
2 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
1. Combine soup, sour cream, green onions and pepper.
2. Mix well and stir in potatoes then place in casserole.
3. Mix butter, breadcrumbs, paprika and cayenne pepper then pour over potato mixture.
4. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
