A delicious and easy way to make crumb cake....loaded with thick crumbs and powdered sugar, this recipe is great for a brunch or a gathering because it feeds so many. Yes, the crumb topping is very rich, but so delicious! Read more !
Ingredients:
1 box of yellow cake mix (preferably duncan hines)
4 c. flour
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 tblspns. ground cinnamon
1 lb. (4 sticks) margarine..... (do not use butter!)
2 tsps. vanilla
Directions:
1. 1. Make cake according to package directions and bake in a buttered jelly roll pan for about 10-15 minutes until set and toothpick inserted comes out clean.
2. 2. Mix flour, sugars, and cinnamon.
3. 3. Add margarine and vanilla.
4. 4. Combine until thoroughly mixed ( it will look like a big brown lump)
5. 5. Pick apart topping and distribute evenly on the baked cake.
6. 6. Put back in oven for 10 more minutes.
7. 7. Leave out overnight uncovered. *note*
8. 8. Top with powdered sugar.

10. *note*.... I am not really sure of why this is left out overnight uncovered, maybe to dry the cake out slightly. I personally would leave it out overnight with a piece of foil loosely on top.
