Yummy Healthy Oatmeal recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup bulgur
1 1/2 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup rye flakes
1/2 cup brown rice
1/4 cup wheat germ
6 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped dates
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 pinch of cinnamon
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a 3 quart or greater crock pot. Stir well to combine all ingredients and cover.
2. Set on lowest cooking temperature and cook over night.
3. Spoon into cereal bowls in the morning and top with walnuts, bananas & cottage cheese (optional & not included in the calorie count below).
4. Makes 8 one-cup servings
