Crock Pot Jerked Chicken Sandwiches

I got this recipe from a friend who loves ANYTHING to do with Jamaica.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons jamaican jerk spice
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 large green peppers or 1 large red pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup ketchup
6 -7 hoagie rolls, split
Directions:
1. Rub jerk seasoning generously over chicken thighs.
2. place pepper and onion in bottom of crock pot.
3. Place chicken over vegetables.
4. In a small bowl, combine broth and ketchup; mix well.
5. Pour broth mixture over chicken.
6. Cover; cook on low for 6-8 hours.
7. Remove chicken from crock pot and shred.
8. Return to crock pot and mix well.
9. With a slotted spoon place chicken mixture into buns.
