Crock Pot Black Beans and Rum

This is adapted from “The Unwatched Pot”. I bet this would freeze very well either on its own or as a burrito filling. It would be fun to do a theme night with this one... Play some Bob Marley or rent Cool Runnings. Serve some pineapple-mango salsa and have some fun with it!
Ingredients:
1 lb dried black beans
1 ham hock
1 small onion
2 whole cloves
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 cup water
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup rum
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
sour cream
Directions:
1. Place beans in slow cooker and add next 7 ingredients.
2. Cook on low for 8 hours.
3. Remove ham and bay leaf. Cut meat off the bone; return to pot.
4. In a bowl, combine flour, rum and Tabasco sauce. Stir into beans and blend well.
5. Serve with sour cream.
