This is a heart-healthy alternative to traditional fried chicken. It's spicy, crispy, and easy to make.
Ingredients:
24 ounce chicken breast fillets, skinless, boneless, raw
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon paprika
1 cups bread crumbs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
3. Combine the oil, pepper, garlic, and paprika in a small bowl. Brush each piece of chicken on both sides with the mixture. , then dip in bread crumbs. (Use crushed wheat flakes instead for added nutrition). Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until chicken is golden brown and tender. Timing will vary according to the thickness of the chicken pieces.
