This is a Pillsbury (I think) recipe with a little tweeking. Great finger food for parties.
Ingredients:
8 chicken drumsticks or 16 drumettes
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 (8 ounce) can crescent rolls
1 egg beaten
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
Directions:
1. Remove skin from drumsticks or drumettes.
2. In large skillet, melt butter.
3. Add barbecue sauce and stir to combine.
4. Add chicken and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat and simmer until chicken juices run clear.
6. Remove from skillet and cool slightly.
7. Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. If using drumettes, cut each triangle in half forming 16 triangles.
8. Brush with egg and sprinkle with cheese and Italian seasoning.
9. Place chicken with the meaty portion almost at point of triangle.
10. Wrap dough around with bone sticking out of long side of triangle.
11. Brush with remaining egg and arrange on greased rimmed baking sheet.
12. Bake at 375 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
13. **If you want to kick up the flavor, cook chicken in 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup chicken stock. Drain and dip in hot wing sauce before wrapping in dough.
