Crescent Roll Danish

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cans crescent rolls ( 8 oz.)
  • 1/4 cup preserves or jam
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  3. In mixing bowl, beat, cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth
  4. Separate dough into 8 rectangles, pressing perforations to seal
  5. Spread each rectangle with 2 tbls. cream cheese mixture
  6. Starting at long side, roll up each rectangle, pinching edges and ends to seal
  7. Gently stretch each roll out about 10 inches
  8. Coil each roll into a spiral with seam on inside, tucking end under
  9. Make deep indentation in center of each roll
  10. Fill with preserves or jam
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes...until golden brown
  12. Glaze
  13. Blend all glaze ingredients in mixing bowl, adding enough milk for drizzle consistency
  14. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls
