Creole Shrimp Etouffe

This is a very good shrimp etouffe.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
3 cloves minced garlic
4 tablespoons salad oil
1 16oz can of tomatoes
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
dash of hot sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
24 oz of clean raw shrimp
3/4 cup bell pepper
salt and pepper
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
Directions:
1. Cook first 3 ingredients in hot oil until tender, but not brown.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
3. Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes; Stir cornstarch into sauce.
4. Add shrimp and bell pepper.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
6. Pour into butter baking dish; cover with bread crumbs.
7. Dot with butter.
8. Bake in a 425 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
