CREAMY CHOCOLATE WALNUT CAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Miller Estate in Wills Point, Texas in 1992. Ingredients:
1 package chocolate cake mix |
1-3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips |
3/4 cup chopped walnuts |
4 large eggs |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon pure vanilla |
4 ounce package instant chocolate pudding |
8 ounces sour cream |
Directions:
1. Remove spoonful of cake mix and use to coat chips and nuts then set aside.
2. Combine dry cake mix, eggs, oil, water, vanilla, pudding mix and sour cream then mix well.
3. Fold in reserved chips and nuts then pour into greased tube pan and bake at 350 for 55 minutes.
4. Cool and drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
