Creamy Chicken and Mushrooms

recipe from the Rival Crock Pot Simple 1-2-3 Slow Cooker Recipes cookbook, page 85 NOTE: a portion is about 1 1/4 cups of meat mixture.
Ingredients:
3 chicken breast (light meat, no skin)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 3/4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1 cup cooking wine (white)
1/2 cup water
5 ounces milk (evaporated, nonfat)
5 teaspoons cornstarch
Directions:
1. Combine salt, pepper and paprika in small bowl; sprinkle over chicken.
2. Layer chicken, mushrooms, green onions and bouillon in Crock-Pot slow cooker.
3. Pour wine and water over top.
4. Cover, cook on High 3 hours or on Low 5 - 6 hours.
5. Transfer chicken and vegetables to platter; cover with foil to keep warm.
6. Combine evaporated milk and cornstarch in small saucepan, stirring until smooth.
7. Add 2 cups cooking liquid from Crock-Pot slow cooker; bring to a boil.
8. Boil 1 minute or until thickened, stirring contantly.
9. Serve chicken and sauce over rice.
