I use this recipe whenever I make samon patties, good on buttered toast as well, or just as a side dish to any meal. Sometimes I double the sauce for extra saucy peas!
Ingredients:
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can peas (drained)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar (or more to taste)
Directions:
1. Melt butter in sauce pan over medium heat, then add flour and stir until blended.
2. Stir in milk and salt, pepper, and sugar bring to a boil and stir until thick.
3. Reduce heat add peas and heat until warm.
