from aol posting. Submitted by Suzanne D. Make basic soup and add 1 of the following vegetables and the corresponding seasonings. The seaoning salt is Mrs. Dash or regular Johnny's.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon onion powder or 1 teaspoon a small chopped onion
2 cups asparagus
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 dash nutmeg
1 1/2 cups green beans
1/2 teaspoon savory
2 cups broccoli
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 dash garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1 cup carrot
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon basil
2 cups cauliflower
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 1/2 cups mushrooms
1 dash nutmeg
Directions:
1. In a soup pot melt and brown butter and flour. Add salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add milk, chicken broth, Mrs. Dash and onion. Choose a vegetable (pureed or chopped) and seasonings.
