Full of swirls of sweet cream cheese, these fudgy brownies are sure to be a new favorite with your family. Ingredients:

1/2 cup (4 ounces) tub light cream cheese, softened |
1/3 cup sugar |
2/3 cup all-purpose flour |
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 large egg |
1 large egg white |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
3 tablespoons water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil. Coat foil with cooking spray; set aside. 3. Beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar with a mixer at medium speed until thoroughly blended. Set aside. 4. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl; stir well. Combine egg and remaining 5 ingredients in a small bowl. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended. 5. Set aside 1/2 cup chocolate mixture. Spread remaining chocolate mixture into prepared pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over chocolate. Dollop remaining chocolate mixture over top. Swirl batters together using a knife. 6. Bake at 350° for 35 to 37 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Remove brownies from pan using foil; cut into squares. Remove from foil using spatula. |
