Cranberry Orange Scones

A yummy scone that couples the taste of cranberries and orange. Great treat for breakfast or anytime snackl
Ingredients:
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup dried cranberries
2 teaspoons orange flavor
1 teaspoon vanilla
zest of one orange.
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350
2. Combine sour cream and baking soda and set aside.
3. Mix the butter (room temerature) with sugar.
4. Beat the egg with the vanilla, orange flavoring, then add to the sugar/butter mixture.
5. Mix well the dry ingredients and then add them to the butter/sugar mixture, do not overmix.
6. Add Cranberries, and orange zest.
7. ****************DO NOT OVER MIX**********
8. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead briefely.
9. Spray the counter and hands with non-stick spray.
10. Grab some dough and mold them into flat logs 2 inches thing and start cutting triangle pieces. Put them on a lightly greased baking sheet.
11. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in preheated oven until golden brown on the bottom.
