Cranberry Orange Oatmeal Bread From 1969

Found an old newspaper that was wrapped around some things packed away. From the Wyandotte County Extension News(1969)...... I was 6 years old!!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup quaker oats(quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
grated peel or 1 orange
3/4 cup chopped cranberries(i wonder if craisins would work !)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease & flour loaf pan
2. Sift together flour, salt. balking powder and sugar in medium sized bowl. Stir in oats, grated orange peel and chopped cranberries.
3. Add oil, egg, orange juice and milk; stir only until dry ingredients are
4. moistened.
5. Pour batter into greased loaf pan
6. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until a cake tester inserted comes out clean.
7. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
8. Remove from pan; cool thoroughly.
9. Wrap cooled bread and store one day before slicing.
10. To make sandwiches, slice, spread with softened cream cheese and put together sandwich style.
