Cranberry Orange Bread

This is my sister's recipe for cranberry orange bread. I like to make it in mini loaves and include in holiday goodie trays and baskets.
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups sugar
2 cups fresh cranberries; coarsely chopped
1 cup walnuts; chopped
2 oranges
2/3 cup hot water
1 egg
1/4 cup oil
Directions:
1. Grate peel from the oranges, cut in half and squeeze out the juice, reserve juice and peel.
2. Sift together dry ingredients into a large bowl.
3. Add cranberries and nuts, toss to coat in flour.
4. Stir in orange juice and peel.
5. Add water, egg and oil, stir to blend.
6. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
7. Bake at 325 degrees for one and a half hours or until done.
8. Makes two loaves.
9. NOTES : A triple recipe fills 9 baby loaf pans, bake for one hour. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
10. Makes great holiday gifts.
11. You can also make into muffins and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
