Cranberry-Glazed Brie

This is a lovely party appetizer. I especially like it at Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's Day.
Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup currants
1/3 cup water
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 (35 ounce) brie round
fresh fruit
Directions:
1. Combine first 9 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 8 minutes or until cranberries pop.
3. Set aside, and let cool.
4. Remove rind from top of Brie, cutting to within 1/2-inch of outside edges.
5. Place cheese on a baking sheet; spoon cranberry mixture over top.
6. Bake at 300ºF for 20 minutes, or until cheese is softened, but not melted.
7. Transfer cheese to a serving platter; garnish, if desired.
8. Serve with assorted crackers.
