This is a good Holiday bread.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup milk
1 beaten egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup cubed canned cranberry sauce (jellied)
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add eggs,molasses and milk.
3. Mix dry ingredients with creamed mixture.
4. Carefully fold in cranberry sauce cubes.
5. Pour in greased loaf pan.
6. Baked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
