I like starting my day with a smoothie and only had cranberry juice one morning. I personally dislike the taste of cranberry juice, but need the health benefits. Cranberry juice reportedly helps prevent UTIs and the formation of kidney stones, and is also full of phytochemicals, which are possible cancer deterrents. It turned delicious. I can finally get my cranberry juice fix and enjoy it at the same time.
Ingredients:
1 cup cranberry juice
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon vanilla-flavored protein powder
2 fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
1. Blend cranberry juice, raspberries, strawberries, yogurt, and protein powder in a blender until it is your desired consistency; pour into 2 glasses. Garnish each with a strawberry.
