Easy & delicious crab appetizer. Can be made with low/nonfat cheeses and Half & Half to lower fat/calorie content. Based on 2 tartlets per serving; made with Athens mini phyllo shells (not found on CCPlus) - 2 pkgs of 15 shells each.
Ingredients:
1/3 c cream cheese, softened
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 c half & half cream
1/2 c swiss cheese, shredded
2 green onions, chopped
7 oz artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp dill, fresh, chopped
1/4 tsp old bay seasoning
6 oz crabmeat, canned, flaked
7 1/2 sheets phyllo pastry
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except crabmeat in medium sized bowl and whisk until fully blended. Add crabmeat and stir until well mixed.
2. Spoon mixture into phyllo shells. Bake on baking sheet 375F 18-20 minutes or until pastry is browned.
