Another crab dip recipe! Got this from my sister-in-law 30 years ago. I actually double the amount of crab originally called for in her recipe - can never have too much crab! For variety, I also add up to 1 cup cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup into the mix and another 1/2 cup on top. Read more . Although the original doesn't call for it, I usually use a good several shakes of Old Bay spice too - just personal preference.
Ingredients:
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
3/4 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
salt and pepper, to taste
6 oz crab meat (i use 12 oz)
Directions:
1. Pick over crab meat to remove any shell.
2. Mix all ingredients except crab with electric mixer.
3. Gently fold in crab meat and put in baking dish
4. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.
5. Serve hot with crackers.
